How to use

  1. Open Rowmark and tap the big +1 each time you finish a row. The − button next to it takes one row back.
  2. Tap “New project” to count another piece. Each project keeps its own count. Tap a project in the list to switch to it.
  3. Tap the sliders icon next to the project name to rename it, fix the count, set a target (“how many rows are left”) or a repeat (“every 6 rows”).
  4. Add the Small widget to your Home Screen (free) and tap +1 right on it — no need to open the app.
  5. With Pro, tap “Show on Lock Screen” to count with +1 and −1 from the Lock Screen, the Dynamic Island and StandBy, even while your iPhone is locked.

Patterns and the row marker

  1. Tap “Add a Pattern” and choose a PDF or a photo of your pattern. This is free.
  2. In the pattern, use “Mark My Row” to put the marker on the row you are knitting.
  3. Turn on “Move with Each Row” and the marker moves one row every time you count — also when you count from a widget or the Lock Screen.
  4. For written patterns choose “Down”; for charts that are read from the bottom, choose “Up”. If the marker moves too far or not far enough, use “Make Row Taller / Shorter”.

Pro, iOS 18 or later, iPhone 15 Pro and later: Settings › Action Button › Controls › Rowmark. You can also add it to Control Center or swap one of the Lock Screen buttons for it.

I got a new iPhone or reinstalled the app.

Pro comes back with the gear icon › Restore Purchases. Projects and patterns are kept only on your iPhone, so they move with an iPhone backup or transfer. Deleting the app deletes them.
